Fincons Group supports innovation and young talents sponsoring the iDB Tech-No-Logic Team

Fincons Group continues to invest in young talents and innovation sponsoring the iDB Tech-No-Logic Team, composed of 8 students from the fourth year of the Don Bosco High School in Verona.

This year the team won the 1st prize of the FIRST LEGO League World Championship in Houston, competing with 108 teams from all over the world.

The FIRST LEGO League is the international scientific and robotic challenge for young innovators who compete with their own robots designed and built with the exclusive use of LEGO Mindstorms materials. The goal of the competition is to leverage the passion for science to solve real ecological, economic and social problems.

The robotics project presented by the team is called WEMIT, an innovative system for washing astronauts' clothes in lack of gravity and without water. This system could also be applied in many areas of daily life in order to reduce the production of waste, which is why the Don Bosco Institute has already patented it.

The project has also qualified among the top three of the FIRST LEGO League Italy 2019, whose award ceremony will be held in Rome on May 21st, at the Auditorium of the Italian Space Association.

The Verona team is also the winner of the Pantheon prize, awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of Verona, and is a nominated among the 20 best projects in the world that will compete for the Global Innovation Award in California at the end of June.
