Fincons Group has won the Innovation of the Year Award at the SportsPro OTT awards 2020 with its SDP–Smart Digital Platform for NextGenTV.
This category recognises a new feature, technology or product that has enhanced the consumption and use of OTT platforms and has had a demonstrable dramatic impact on a company, product or on the industry.
The SDP creates and publishes Sports content owner and distributor Apps, enriches them with advanced monetization models, provides contextual information and encourages greater viewer engagement enabling innovative AI-enabled interactive applications. It is transformative to the industry as it is the first platform to be compliant with both the European HbbTV2 and the American ATSC3 standards. Killer app example is the new Sports Contests and Betting application which leverages engaging gamification features to introduce a new social dimension and to monetize live sport events.
